Panna to ank
Add up the three digits; the ank is the units figure of the total. Take 128: 1 + 2 + 8 = 11, ank 1. Take 569: 5 + 6 + 9 = 20, ank 0. While only the open is out the board shows 128-1; after the close it becomes 128-10-569, and 10 is the jodi.
Open ank + close ank = final ank
